Silver Falls State Park has over 9,000 acres and it is the largest in Oregon. Trail of Ten Falls runs along Silver Creek and includes ten waterfalls. Several of the waterfalls allow the trail to pass behind the flow of the falls. Remote Double Falls is the highest waterfall in the Silver Creek Canyon.

Battle Ax Mountain is a shield volcano in the Cascade Mountain Range. It can be reached by Battle Ax Mountain trail. The summit of Battle Ax is located in  the Bull of the Woods Wilderness.

The Willamette National Forest is one of the largest national forests.  It includes seven major mountain peaks and several Wild and Scenic Rivers. It is named for the Willamette River and stretches for over 100 miles.
